Fuel, St John’s Wood

I am not going to lie.  I had no idea this place existed before lockdown.  But if there’s anything positive to take away from lockdown, it is discovering new places in your neighbourhood.

With the emphasis on healthy eating and lifestyle, this is the place to eat and feel good.

They serve healthy fresh smoothies and drinks to please even the fussiest of health freaks.  A huge selection of homemade breakfasts using organic and free-range produce is on offer too.

The first time I visited, I was given a tour downstairs of the gym and explained the classes they have on offer.  It was a surprise to discover that there was something like this with a café upstairs serving healthy options-sounds too good to be true!

I’ve noticed their new website is launching and I’m sure there are exciting plans for this unassuming place on a quiet road, not far from the High Street.

When I went over summer I sat outside in the sunshine.  If you are a dog lover like me (unfortunately I don’t own one here in London) there’s a dog grooming place next door and a vet across the road, where you can enjoy the comings and goings of the locals’ pets and maybe get to pat a few too!

Monmouth coffee is served here and prepared with the same gusto as the famous Monmouth in London Borough Market.  While I like heading to Borough Market, it’s nice to know I can get my fix of the good coffee here too.  They sell the beans as well!

Staff are friendly and always have the time to chat.  During lockdown grab a take-away coffee and remember to visit when this is over and sit inside this cosy place and take your time enjoying your brunch.
