coffee art heart

Antipode, Hammersmith

coffee art at AntipodeHome.  Antipode feels like home. If I close my eyes here, I’d almost think I was drinking coffee in the lane ways of Melbourne.  The chatter of Aussies discussing the lows of flat sharing, the travel adventure planned next month or the success of last night’s date.  Whatever the convo, the fact is, we are all here because of the vibe from this place.

Cosy, casual and with the map of Australia on the wall (in case we have to point out where we are from) we all know we won’t be discussing how crap the coffee is! They make great coffee!  And they generally look like they lovemaking it too! The smashed avo on toast and the good mix of toasties makes this place appealing too!

Try the Antipode Buddad Bowl: massaged kale, giant couscous, halloumi, egg, seeds, tahini and sumac dressing.  Very healthy and very tasty.

They use Nude Espresso and Square Mile coffee and when I’m there, I prefer to have a cappuccino, followed by a flat white.  Best flat white I’ve had outside of Melbourne!

I’m looking forward to heading there in the late evening in summer, where they have an array of beers (Aussie ones of course!) to try and I’m sure they’ll serve espresso martini to knock my socks off!

The staff are friendly and passionate about their coffee and it’s the place is relaxed.  The communal table make it ideal to share the ups and downs of life in London with coffee-loving randoms.
